Aaran and I were so incredibly fortunate that my sister recommended Kate to us to be our wedding officiant. She had heard Kate officiate at her friends wedding and was very impressed with how she had personalized the entire wedding ceremony to that couple. I reached out to Kate and she told me she wanted to meet me and Aaran so she could learn a more about us. Since Aaran and I live out of town, we met Kate via Skype (thank goodness for technology)!! She asked Aaran and me questions to get to know us and to learn what is important to us so she'd know what to include in our ceremony. The speech she wrote for our wedding was phenomenal. She spoke about things Aaran and I value greatly such as our family, friends, and love of similar hobbies. Kate is so warm and personable and she made the day of the wedding much less stressful with her calming presence. We are truly grateful that Kate was there for us on such a special day. When we starting thinking about an officiant, we knew we wanted someone who had experience, was professional, and came highly recommended, but also someone who was kind, friendly, and took the time to get to know us and the type of ceremony we were hoping for. Kate was the perfect fit! She is such a sweet, smiley woman who asked a lot of questions to learn about our relationship and personalities, and she never tried to force any of her own beliefs or views into the wonderful speech she put together. It had a little of our history, a little humor, and some of the typical "I do" verbiage, but mostly it was a testament to our love and the merging of our lives into one. Having Kate marry us was so special, and we look back on that day (which went way too fast) with nothing but fond memories - and part of that was because of her.

Kate was amazing as the officiant of our wedding! She incorporated our love story into a beautiful service that was tailored to exactly what we wanted. She included each of the ideas we had and truly made the day about US. Unfortunately, I don't plan on ever getting married again and needing her, but I'd recommend her services to anyone looking for a wonderful officiant!

Derek and I were referred to Kate Baker when we were in a tough situation awaiting approval from the Catholic Church for our upcoming marriage back in early 2015. My dream of being married in the church at that point was not realistic and I was a little bummed at first, as was my family. Luckily, God had other plans for that day and when we met with Kate, I knew everything was going to be wonderful! She made us feel immediately comfortable and was extremely positive about being able to incorporate Catholic themes into the wedding. She wanted to know about us as individuals, as a couple, what our families were like, and how we imagined our ceremony. She was able to give us examples of ceremonies she’d performed in the past and suggestions of ways we could really personalize the day. Besides creating the perfect ceremony for us on her own, she incorporated our feedback and included stories we thought would really add meaning for us. I loved the balance of her humor with the spiritual message of God being there that day. She also provided suggested readings and our unity tree! Even though it wasn’t what I imagined as a child, it ended up being even better. We were able to write our own vows and now we truly have a one of a kind ceremony to look back on year after year. Kate was wonderful throughout the process. Responsive, easy to work with, professional, and kept on script even when the polka band across the canal was blaring Bohemian Rhaphsody. We are truly grateful that she was the architect of our amazing ceremony and would highly recommend her to anyone who wants a stress free but personalized experience ceremony planning!
